Trade Union Chair Calls for Expedited Promotion of MFA&D Officials

Prishtina – Fatmir Haxholli, chairman of the Trade Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFA&D), has urged for a swift resolution to the promotion process for ministry officials eligible for international assignments. Haxholli’s call follows the anticipated completion of a review process involving over 100 applications submitted by officials seeking roles in Kosovar diplomatic representations and consulates. According to Haxholli, the MFA&D Rotation Commission is nearing the conclusion of its assessment of these applications.

He subsequently addressed the Permanent Promotion and Discipline Commission, requesting that it utilize its legal authority to facilitate the rapid advancement of qualified officials. Haxholli specifically requested that the commission prioritize the promotion of individuals who have demonstrated sustained contributions to the ministry and its associated missions. He believes recognizing the experience and dedication of these officials is crucial.

The call comes as part of ongoing efforts to bolster the Kosovar diplomatic presence abroad. Further details regarding the timeline for promotions are expected to be released shortly.
