Government Sets Maximum Prices for Oil Derivatives

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINT) has announced maximum permitted prices for key oil derivatives, effective May 2, 2026. The decision, formalized in a ministerial decree released today, establishes regulated price caps for various fuels. According to the announcement, the maximum permitted price for oil is 1.69 euros per liter.

For gasoline, the regulated price is set at 1.48 euros per liter. Furthermore, the maximum permitted price for gas is 0.85 euros per liter. These prices will take effect at 10:00 local time.

The move follows ongoing monitoring of market conditions and aims to stabilize consumer costs for essential fuels.
