Zelensky: Russia has violated the ceasefire, Ukraine will respond in kind.

Zelensky Accuses Russia of Violating May 6th Ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported continued Russian violations of the ceasefire established on May 6th, stating that Russia has maintained active hostilities throughout the day. Speaking to the public, Zelensky attributed the ongoing attacks against Ukrainian cities and communities – including Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kramatorsk – to a deliberate rejection of a ceasefire and a disregard for civilian lives. According to reports from Telegrafi, Zelensky detailed a sustained period of Russian military activity.

“Attacks continue in all key front sectors,” he stated. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have documented nearly 30 attacks, supported by extensive aerial bombardment. Overnight and into the morning, more than 20 air strikes were recorded, utilizing over 70 bombs.

The continued aggression by russia represents a significant escalation of the conflict, according to the Ukrainian president. Zelensky emphasized that the situation demands a reciprocal response, though specifics of Ukraine’s planned actions were not detailed. The ceasefire, initially established by Kyiv, remains in effect, but has been repeatedly breached by Russian forces.
