Special published images to show the conditions inside prison, Behrami: Fise is being kept illegally for 6 years

Kosovo Authorities Release Images from Detention Center in The Hague

Specialized units of Kosovo have released a series of images depicting the conditions within the detention center in The Hague, where several former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders are held. These include Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi. The release of the images follows a statement from former deputy Artan Behrami, who voiced concerns regarding the timing of the publication.

In a Facebook post, Behrami described the action as “scandalous,” alleging a deliberate attempt to influence the upcoming verdict at the Special Court. Behrami argues that former KLA leaders, referred to as “Feyes,” have been illegally detained for six years. He contends that the release of these images is intended to justify this continued detention.

Behrami’s post referenced previous advertising campaigns, drawing a parallel to earlier efforts. He claims these actions represent the expenditure of millions of euros in taxpayer funding, and suggests they are rooted in prejudiced content. The Kosovo authorities have not yet issued a formal response to Behrami’s statement.

Further developments are expected as the Special Court proceedings continue.

  1. It’s deeply concerning to see the conditions these individuals are being held in, raising serious questions about their treatment.
