The crisis regarding the president, Haxhiu: The solution depends on political will – elections should be avoided.

Albulena Haxhiu, the Speaker of the Kosovo Parliament, addressed the ongoing presidential election process, stressing the vital need for political agreement and the prevention of extraordinary elections. During a session on March 5th, she clarified that the meeting remained unresolved. Haxhiu anticipated requests and invitations for meetings from the leader of Vetëvendosje (VV) to various political entities.

As she previously communicated, the Prime Minister intends to continue extending invitations to the political parties. Consequently, she expressed hope that these debates and discussions would ultimately yield a resolution concerning the president’s appointment. The Speaker underscored the significance of avoiding new elections within Kosovo.

“It is very important that the country does not go to extraordinary elections because we have lost much,” she stated emphatically. Haxhiu believes the key to unlocking a resolution lies within the political will of the involved parties. Haxhiu’s comments reflect a serious concern about the potential ramifications of further disruption to the political landscape.

Her focus remains firmly on achieving a stable outcome through constructive dialogue and a shared commitment to the country’s future.
