Isufaj’s request to suspend the bankruptcy was rejected by the Prosecutor’s Office

The Administrative Court has formally rejected a security measure sought by the Special Prosecutor’s Office Chief Prosecutor, Blerim Isufaj. The decision, issued by the Administrative Court – General Department under decision AP.no.90/2026 on June 5, 2026, addressed the plaintiff’s request. Mr.

Isufaj had sought the designation of a security measure intended to suspend ongoing bankruptcy proceedings for the position of the State Prosecutor. This suspension was requested to remain in effect until the final resolution of the administrative dispute that was initiated against the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK). The notice confirmed that the court’s ruling specifically rejected the plaintiff’s request.

The underlying matter involves a decision from the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, identified as KPK.no.268/2026, dated May 18, 2026. This KPK decision pertains to the declaration of public bankruptcy for the role of the State Prosecutor. In essence, the court declined to impose a temporary measure that would halt the bankruptcy proceedings.

The rejection of this request means that the existing administrative process concerning the State Prosecutor’s position, as determined by the KPK, will proceed without the requested suspension. The legal dispute between the involved parties, including the prosecutor’s office, will continue through the established judicial channels.
