Over 14,500 graduates will take the first graduation exam today

Over 14,500 graduates have registered to take the commencement exam, with today marking the first external assessment, which is optional for candidates. Mandatory external exams, covering native language and literature, are scheduled for June 11 and 12. In accordance with amendments to the Law on Secondary Education, this year features three distinct types of graduation assessments for the first time: the general graduation exam, the professional graduation exam, and the artistic graduation exam.

Candidates participating in the general graduation exam today will be tested in either a foreign language—including English, French, German, Russian, or Italian—or mathematics. For those registered for the professional graduation exam, the available options are English or mathematics. Candidates for the artistic graduation exam will follow a separate assessment track.

Students are advised to prepare for the specific requirements of their respective graduation type. The structure of the exam process reflects the updated educational framework, ensuring specialized evaluation across different academic pathways. All registered graduates are expected to adhere to the schedule to successfully take their required assessments.
