Përparim Gruda stated that the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is open to political agreements with various parties, but has established a firm boundary regarding the use of American gas. Speaking in Debat Plus, Gruda clarified that his party does not maintain red lines concerning potential agreements with other political entities. However, he noted significant ideological and policy differences between the PDK and the Vetëvendosje Movement.
Despite this flexibility, Gruda highlighted the issue of American gas as a critical concern. He argued that the current stance of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, regarding American gas constitutes a national risk. Consequently, he asserted that this specific issue must be treated as a non-negotiable prerequisite for any potential governmental cooperation.
Gruda reiterated that while the PDK has no predetermined red lines regarding political alliances, the divergence with Vetëvendosje Movement remains substantial across multiple policy areas. Nevertheless, the refusal concerning the American gas supply, if deemed a threat to Kosovo’s national interests, necessitates a firm response and must be addressed within any framework of government collaboration.
