Police are currently conducting extensive searches in multiple locations across Tirana, including Pëllumbas, Qafë Mollë, and the villages of Elbasan, in connection with the murder of Eglant Koçi. The 34-year-old was last seen on the morning of April 4th when he departed his residence to meet a friend, Armand Shakaj, at an apartment on “Zhan Dark” Boulevard. Upon his arrival at the office, Eglant entered the premises but was never seen leaving.
Investigators discovered blood traces and biological material inside the building, which are being utilized as key pieces of evidence in the ongoing investigation. The building’s second floor houses several commercial units, and the connecting corridors are monitored by security cameras. These cameras recorded Eglant’s entry but did not capture his departure.
Armand Shakaj is suspected of involvement in the crime. Authorities noted that Shakaj appeared to take steps to conceal evidence by disconnecting the corridor cameras. The disappearance and suspected murder of Eglant Koçi remain the central focus of the police investigation, with efforts continuing to determine the fate of the 34-year-old victim.
