The Central Election Commission (CEC) has confirmed that the process of vote counting for the early parliamentary elections, scheduled for April 7, remains active across designated centers. Counting operations are continuing at both the Municipal Counting Centers (MCCs) and the central Counting and Results Center (CRC). Furthermore, the tallying of votes cast at Kosovo’s diplomatic missions has commenced.
During a press briefing, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi provided updates on the electoral proceedings. He confirmed that the CRC is currently managing the physical counting of ballots submitted by citizens who cast their vote at embassies and consulates abroad. Elezi detailed that on April 6, voting took place across 30 diplomatic missions situated in 18 different states.
Regarding the overseas participation, the data indicated that out of 27,724 citizens registered to vote through this method, 22,860 individuals cast their vote, achieving a turnout rate of 82.46 percent. Beyond the initial vote counting, the CEC also announced that the comprehensive evaluation of the various voting packages is actively underway at the CRC to ensure procedural integrity. These ongoing efforts ensure that all submitted ballots are accounted for as the commission finalizes the tabulation process leading up to the official election results.
