The Municipality of Deçani has officially released the results identifying the beneficiaries for sub-projects focused on the renovation and reconstruction of private residences for vulnerable families and individuals. This initiative is an integral component of the “Adequate Social Housing” project, which originated from a Memorandum of Understanding executed on December 23, 2024, between the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure (MMPHI) and the municipality. The selection process was managed by an Evaluation Commission established within the municipality.
This commission assessed applications based on criteria detailed in the public call issued on April 28, 2025. The key evaluation criteria encompassed several factors, including the verifiable need for structural renovation or complete reconstruction of the dwelling. Furthermore, applicants were assessed based on their social status and level of vulnerability, alongside documentation proving ownership of the plot or house, and the availability of necessary building permits.
The announcement provides clarity on which households qualify for support under this housing improvement scheme. The objective of the program is to enhance living conditions for the most vulnerable segments of the population by facilitating necessary repairs and rebuilding efforts. The guidelines followed by the evaluation commission ensure that the distribution of resources directly addresses documented need, adhering to the terms set forth by the inter-ministerial agreement.
