Vote counting concludes in diplomatic missions

Vote counting has concluded across diplomatic missions in Kosovo, providing preliminary results from the election held on June 6, 2026. According to data released by the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Vetëvendosje Movement secured the highest number of votes, totaling 18,789, representing 83.28% of the ballots cast in these specific missions. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) followed with 1,608 votes, accounting for 7.13%.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) received 1,490 votes, which equates to 6.60% of the total votes counted. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo garnered 464 votes, or 2.06%. The voting process took place across 30 diplomatic missions situated in 18 different locations throughout Kosovo.

Out of a total of 27,724 registered voters, 22,860 voters cast their vote, resulting in a turnout rate of 82.46% at these sites. These ballots are currently undergoing final tabulation. These figures reflect the preliminary count from the diplomatic missions, providing a detailed snapshot of the voting patterns within the country.

The results indicate a substantial margin of votes for the Vetëvendosje Movement among the counted ballots. The final tally of votes across all polling centers in Kosovo is expected to follow the completion of the current count.
