Six cases of domestic violence reported over 24 hours

On June 12, 2026, law enforcement reported two separate incidents involving public disturbances in different locations. In Tetovë, police officers from the Criminal Police Unit detained B.A., a 37-year-old resident of Tetova, at approximately 8:30 PM near the Tetovë Police Station. The arrest followed a complaint filed by the individual’s 40-year-old ex-partner, who resides in the Tetova area.

According to the complaint, the harassment began in April 2026, following the termination of their relationship. The complainant alleged that B.A. had persistently followed her throughout the city and subjected her to harassing calls originating from various numbers.

Furthermore, she stated that threats were issued against her and her family after he refused to reconcile. Separately, earlier that day, a report was filed at the Skopje Police Station concerning an incident in the Center area. A 28-year-old woman reported that her 56-year-old partner, identified as S.O., damaged their “Peugeot Boxer” vehicle using force.

This incident was reported by the woman at the police station, detailing the events that occurred around 9:50 AM. The reports indicate that police were involved in responding to both incidents, managing detentions in Tetovë and receiving documentation regarding property damage in Skopje.
