Fruitful pre-election coalitions: Guxo with four MPs, Vjosa Osmani third in the Assembly

As the counting of votes from the diaspora continues, the expected composition of the Kosovo Assembly is becoming apparent. Current results indicate that pre-election coalitions and joint initiatives have successfully secured representation for various entities and figures who campaigned on unified lists. The Vetëvendosje Movement is anticipated to form the largest parliamentary group.

Within the coalition involving Guxo, the Guxo party has secured four seats. The representation from Guxo includes co-chair Donika Gërvalla, alongside Nezir Kraki, Blerim Gashi, and Valon Peci. Furthermore, Mimoza Kusari-Lila of Alternativa has gained an MP mandate through her participation in the LVV coalition.

The LVV is projected to gain approximately 50 mandates, accounting for roughly 70% of the votes tallied from the embassies. Separately, President Vjosa Osmani and her team, who ran on the Democratic League of Kosovo list, have secured three mandates. These are expected to be held by Osmani, Albena Reshitaj, and Jeta Statovci.

While the vote counting from the diaspora has not yet concluded, the preliminary data suggests that pre-election alliances have been a decisive factor in determining parliamentary representation. The current developments highlight the significant impact of these coordinated efforts across the political spectrum during this election cycle.
