The Central Election Commission (CEC) has confirmed the conclusion of the vote verification and initial counting procedures across all Municipal Counting Centers throughout Kosovo. According to CEC Spokesperson Valmir Elezi, the process was finalized at the Municipal Counting Center in Pristina on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, where a total of 262 votes were processed. Elezi stated that this marks the completion of the initial count across all 38 municipalities, a procedure that commenced the day following the election.
While the municipal stage of the counting has concluded, the electoral tabulation will continue at the main Counting and Results Center. This central facility is responsible for tallying ballots received via mail, conditional votes, and votes cast by persons with specific electoral statuses. The preliminary results indicate the standing of various political figures and coalitions.
Reports noted that prominent pre-election coalitions included Guxo, which secured four deputies, and Vjosa Osmani, who was reported to have three parliamentary seats. The ongoing efforts at the central center are crucial to finalizing the overall results for all candidates. The CEC maintains that the methodical process ensures that every vote cast for every candidate is accounted for before the final results are declared.
This comprehensive counting phase is necessary to ensure transparency and accuracy across the entire electoral body.
