She reported that a cumulative total of over 2,700 tons of waste have been removed from various locations across Kosovo to date. In a public statement, Pacolli-Dalipi confirmed that current cleanup operations are actively taking place across multiple municipalities.

These areas include Pristina, South and North Mitrovica, Peja, Deçan, Prizren, and Ferizaj. She added that the scope of this initiative is anticipated to expand to encompass other cities nationwide. “Over 2,700 tons of waste have been removed so far, while work continues in Pristina, South and North Mitrovica, Peja, Deçan, Prizren, and Ferizaj, and soon in other cities,” Pacolli-Dalipi stated.

The Minister emphasized that the removal of illegally dumped materials is a significant undertaking aimed at improving environmental standards across the country. She noted that the success of the campaign is attributed to coordinated efforts across different levels of local governance. The continued removal of substantial amounts of waste, measured in tons, underscores the ongoing commitment to environmental remediation.

The government plans to maintain and increase the pace of these activities, ensuring that over the next period, more affected areas will be addressed.
