Islam: The latest arrests of Albanians in Serbia demonstrate the continuation of Milloshevic’s policy

Security expert Avni Islami has commented on recent developments in northern Kosovo and reported on arrests within Serbia, criticizing Belgrade for actions that he contends violate international legal standards and even Serbian domestic law. In a public statement, Islami highlighted a sequence of events: the immediate arrest of a suspect for war crimes in the village of Kalludër in Zubin Potok, followed by the detention of an Albanian migrant at the Horgosh border crossing between Hungary and Serbia. Islami characterized these actions as part of a calculated political strategy.

He suggested that the timing of these arrests was intended to manufacture an appearance of parity between those who have committed crimes and those who are considered victims. According to the expert, these incidents demonstrate a pattern of disregard for established legal frameworks. “Serbia continues to demonstrate that it does not recognize any international legal norm, not even its own laws,” Islami stated.

His analysis suggests that the pattern of arrests in Serbia indicates a systemic failure to adhere to recognized legal standards. The expert’s commentary focuses on the perceived inconsistency and political motivation behind the reported law enforcement actions in the region.
