Speaking to TV Sitel, Nikolloski highlighted the robust performance of the sector early in the year.
According to figures provided, rail transport experienced significant growth during the initial months. The Minister emphasized that these positive statistics underscore the commitment to the sector, attributing the growth to substantial ongoing investments.
“You can see that we are investing a lot and that this is our main priority at the moment,” Nikolloski stated. Furthermore, he referenced updates from the director of HM Infrastruktura, Ivanovs, confirming the positive trajectory of infrastructure development supporting transport operations. The stated emphasis on Corridor 10 and the positive metrics for cargo throughput signal a governmental commitment to enhancing the efficiency and capacity of the national rail infrastructure to solidify its regional standing.
