KQZ shows when the vote counting from the diaspora will end

The Central Election Commission (CEC) is anticipated to conclude the tabulation of all ballots received via mail by midday. According to Valmir Elezi, a spokesperson for the KQZ, this preliminary report indicated that following the completion of the mail-in ballot count, the process will move to tallying votes cast by absentee voters and those with special needs. The final phase of the election process, according to the CEC, will involve a mandatory recount of up to 10 percent of the regular votes that were initially tallied at the various Municipal Counting Centers.

Regarding the progress of the mail-in count, Elezi stated that over the preceding weekend, 80 out of a total of 223 ballot boxes containing materials from voters outside of Kosovo were processed. This figure represents 36 percent of the total boxes slated for counting. The ongoing efforts are managed by the central electoral body to ensure comprehensive tabulation.

The meticulous counting process is structured sequentially, moving from remote ballots to specialized voting groups, and culminating in the final verification count. This structured approach aims to provide a thorough and verifiable result for the national election.
