AUV Commission: Vita did not respect the minister’s decision, results pending

The Commission for Monitoring and Following the Work of Inspectors at the Food and Veterinary Agency has issued a determination stating that the dairy processing facility, “Vita,” violated a directive issued by the acting Minister of Agriculture, Armend Muja. The specific prohibition, set forth in a decision dated May 10, 2026, restricts the use of several ingredients in dairy processing factories, including powdered milk, palm oil, and cocoa butter. During a recent press conference, Durak Zyraku, the head of the Commission and director of the Prizren Regional Office, confirmed that the Commission’s finding was derived directly from the observations conducted by agency inspectors in the field.

Zyraku stated, “As a commission, we have determined, following the inspectors’ findings…”

However, the AUV issued a clarification regarding the finality of these findings. The agency emphasized that the ultimate conclusions regarding the violation status will only be publicized after the completion of comprehensive laboratory analyses. This procedural caveat indicates that while the Commission has established a preliminary finding based on field inspections, further scientific verification is required before the matter is fully closed.

The report details the scope of the alleged non-compliance at the “Vita” plant against the established regulatory standards set by the Ministry.
