On the 17th of the protest, young people responded to Rama with words in front of the Prime Ministry

Citizens and civil society activists gathered today in Vlorë to stage a protest concerning a planned investment project in Zvërnec. During the assembly held in “Skënderbej” square, organizers announced that the main protest action is scheduled to commence tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM. One of the event’s organizers, Alben Kola, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the demonstration would remain peaceful.

Kola stated that the protest was directed against political leaders rather than specific parties. Following the initial assembly in “Skënderbej” square, the participants marched down “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard to assemble directly in front of the Prime Minister’s office. The core demands articulated by the protesting citizens center on several key political changes.

Specifically, demonstrators are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Furthermore, they are demanding the removal of Berisha from the leadership role within the opposition party, alongside calls for a formal investigation into related matters. The gathering today served as a preparatory event for the larger protest planned for the following day.

Activists maintained that their protest aims to exert public pressure on governmental figures regarding the development plans. The organized march route and the clear articulation of demands underscore the focused nature of the opposition movement today.
