The Book Fair “Prishtina 2026” opens its doors

The 26th edition of the “Prishtina 2026” Book Fair is slated to take place at the Youth Palace in Pristina, positioning it as a major cultural event within the Albanian sphere. The fair is scheduled to run from June 17 to June 21, 2026. This year’s theme is “The Book Opens the World,” an initiative designed to convene readers, authors, publishers, and book industry professionals from across all Albanian regions, as well as the diaspora community.

Organizers anticipate the participation of roughly 100 publishing houses at the event. The exhibition will feature an estimated 2,000 new titles alongside approximately 6,000 publications from previous years. Throughout the five days, attendees can expect over 40 cultural activities, including book promotions, panel debates, and scheduled meetings with both local and international authors.

A notable highlight of this year’s book fair is the presence of guest of honor, the Italian-French writer Francesco Rapazzini. The Prishtina book fair continues its tradition of serving as a central platform for literary exchange and cultural discourse in the region. The event aims to stimulate literary engagement while providing a comprehensive marketplace for published works.
