Sveçla responds to Rama regarding Road A: You are lying again; the Government did not send it to court.

Gezim Sveçla, the head of the Self-Determination Movement parliamentary group in the Pristina Municipal Council, has responded to statements made by the Mayor of Pristina, Perparim Rama, concerning the A Street project. Rama announced that the final phase of asphalt paving on the street has commenced, asserting that the project had been obstructed by the government on three separate occasions, necessitating legal action. Rama shared this update on Facebook, stating, “The final phase of asphalt paving on Street A begins.

The government has blocked this project three times, taking us to court. We have won the case three times. Naturally.”

Sveçla, however, refuted the Mayor’s claims.

He clarified that the judicial proceedings mentioned were not initiated by the government. Instead, Sveçla stated that the legal challenges stemmed from an economic operator who had contested the tendering process for the project. This response addresses the differing accounts presented by the two political figures regarding the history and legal status of the infrastructure work.

The dispute centers on the procedural hurdles faced by the A Street paving and the involvement of the government in those delays.

  1. It seems there is a dispute over whether the government actually submitted the Road A project to court.
