Kosovo teaches opponents in Main Round of the 2028 World Cup Futsal Qualifiers

The national futsal team of Kosovo has advanced to the Main Round of the European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2028. Following a draw conducted by UEFA, Kosovo has been assigned to Group 10, which will also feature Italy and Georgia. The “Dardanians” are looking to sustain their recent performance and compete for qualification to the subsequent stage of the tournament.

Kosovo earned its spot in the Main Round through successful showings in the preliminary qualification stages, indicating ongoing development within the international futsal community. Under the UEFA qualification format, the 36 participating national teams have been organized into 12 groups, with three teams in each group. Qualification criteria stipulate that the group winners and the four teams with the best second-place finishes will advance directly to the Elite Round.

The remaining eight second-placed teams will enter a separate play-off competition. This progression represents a significant milestone for Kosovo in European futsal. The team’s advancement underscores their competitive standing following their efforts in the preceding qualifying rounds.

The focus now shifts to the group stage, where Kosovo aims to secure a high placement to advance through the qualification pathway toward the 2028 World Cup.
