LSM: Minimum consumer basket for a pensioner reaches 68,654 denars

The Union of Syndicates reported today that the minimum required funds for a four-person family to cover basic monthly expenses for June is 68,654 denars. Should the family rent a 60-square-meter apartment and not own housing, the necessary financial basket increases to 84,024 denars. This represents an overall decrease of 88 denars compared to the required amount for May.

Analysis of the required basket reveals that the largest expenditure category is for food and beverages, totaling 25,120 denars, which accounts for 36.6% of the total projected family budget. Educational expenses represent the second largest cost, requiring 7,192 denars, or 10.5% of the total. Clothing and footwear are estimated at 6,511 denars, making up 9.5% of the budget.

The remaining costs are allocated to communal expenses. For a family residing in owned accommodation, utilities such as water, electricity, and heating are factored into the overall basket calculation. These figures establish the baseline financial requirements for a four-person family to maintain basic living standards throughout the month, providing a detailed breakdown of necessary expenditures in denars.
