On the fifth anniversary of the declaration of Sharr Mountain as a National Park, the Minister of the Environment, Life, and Spatial Planning, Muamet Hoxha, conducted an official visit to the site. Minister Hoxha highlighted that the last five years have been instrumental in establishing a modern and functional management system for one of the country’s most valuable natural assets.

He stated firmly that economic profit must not supersede the preservation of nature.
Furthermore, he confirmed that a dedicated Tourism Strategy for the entire Sharr park area is currently under development. The Minister also voiced his support for the complete and effective implementation of ecosystem compensation mechanisms across the region.
