After calls for resignation, Abdixhiku from Viti: LDK is about membership, not individuals

Lumir Abdixhiku, the Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), issued a public statement from Viti following recent internal developments within the party. The remarks came amid calls for resignation directed at several regional branches, including those in Peja, Lipjan, and the Second Branch of Pristina. In his address, Chairman Abdixhiku expressed gratitude to specific elements of the party structure.

He specifically thanked the LDK Branch in Viti, Chairman Sokol Haliti, the party presidency, and the local structures for their demonstrated support. “To the Viti Branch, Chairman Sokol Haliti, the presidency, and our structures here, thank you for the full support! Thank you for the presence today; you are the one we have!” Abdixhiku stated in his post.

The Chairman further addressed the broader sentiment emanating from the local party apparatus. He confirmed that the message conveyed by these structures had been fully understood by his office. Abdixhiku affirmed the party’s commitment to continuity, asserting that the organization intends to advance regardless of the challenges it may face.

“I have understood your message. We will overcome every challenge, state and party,” he concluded. The statement served to rally support and reaffirm the leadership’s position amidst the ongoing internal political discussions within the Democratic League of Kosovo.
