Investment of 3 million euros for the Mitrovica Bridge, contract signed for the asphalt paving of 23.4 km of roads

The Mayor of Mitrovica Municipality, Faton Peci, announced the signing of a contract for a significant infrastructure project slated for the Shala area. This development involves the paving of approximately 23.4 kilometers of local roads. Peci stated that the total investment value for the project is estimated at around three million euros.

The funding structure for this initiative will be a co-financing arrangement between the Municipality of Mitrovica and the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure. In a statement shared via Facebook, Peci highlighted the importance of the newly signed contract, noting that it provides a substantial opportunity for the development of Shala through improved road infrastructure. He emphasized that combining natural resources with this investment will facilitate development for both Shala and the broader Mitrovica region.

The primary objective of the project is to significantly enhance the existing road network within the Shala area, thereby improving circulation and daily life for the local residents. The completion of this infrastructure work is expected to boost connectivity and support the economic and social development of the community.
