Two individuals were stopped by police for operating vehicles in the wrong direction on the Gostivar-Tetovë highway, according to the Tetovë Police Station. The first incident occurred yesterday around 11:30 AM. Tetovë Police Station reported that officers detained V.M., aged 30, from Bogovinë village.
The individual was driving a “Mercedes” transport vehicle, bearing Tetovë license plates, in a manner contrary to the permitted flow of traffic. Approximately an hour later, at 12:30 PM, police officers again intervened on the Gostivar–Tetovë road, specifically at the Tetovë road junction. On this occasion, police detained M.D., aged 55, from Falish village.
Mr. D was found driving a “Volkswagen” transport vehicle, also with Tetovë license plates, in the opposite direction to the established traffic flow. Both incidents highlight instances of traffic violations involving incorrect driving direction on the major connecting route between Gostivar and Tetovë.
The police action underscores ongoing enforcement efforts regarding adherence to designated traffic lanes on this highway.
