The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje has initiated an investigation into a 51-year-old man, who is currently suspected of committing the crime of Murder, under Article 123, paragraph 2, point 2 of the Penal Code. The investigation centers on an incident that reportedly occurred on June 25 in the village area of Letevci. According to preliminary reports, the fatal incident arose during what was described as a domestic dispute.
Following the altercation, the suspect allegedly transported his girlfriend from her place of work via vehicle. He then took her to a secluded and difficult-to-access location. There, the suspect reportedly subjected her to a physical assault.
Witnesses and initial reports indicate that he forcibly choked her neck using a part of his body while simultaneously covering her mouth and nose to impede her breathing. Despite resisting and attempting to defend herself, the victim reportedly could not escape the assault, resulting in her suffocation and death at the scene. Subsequently, the suspect allegedly concealed her body beneath branches at the site.
Authorities are currently examining the scene and gathering evidence related to the timeline and the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. The investigation remains active as prosecutors continue to build the case against the suspected individual.
