The Municipality of Mitrovica has officially announced the allocation of 60,000 euros to reward the champions across four local sports clubs. Gazmend Asllani, the Director of Culture, Youth, and Sport, disclosed the funding, emphasizing that the investment in sports represents a tangible commitment from the municipality. Asllani stated that the institutional support provided acknowledges the achievements of the winning teams, confirming the fulfillment of a commitment previously made by the municipality’s mayor.
The total sum of 60,000 euros has been distributed to the respective championship teams. The breakdown of the allocated funds is as follows: Trepça Basketball Club (Men) received 30,000 euros; Mitrovica Football Club (Women) was allocated 15,000 euros; Mitrovica Football Club (Men) received 10,000 euros; and Trepça Basketball Club (Women) was awarded 5,000 euros. According to Asllani, this financial support serves to bolster local athletic endeavors within Mitrovica.
The disbursement highlights the local government’s ongoing dedication to fostering sporting excellence and providing material recognition for the dedication and success demonstrated by the community’s athletic programs.
