Gjilan Regional Police issue 1,462 fines for traffic violations

The Regional Directorate of the Police in Gjilan, collaborating with the Regional Traffic Unit and local police stations, conducted extensive safety operations concerning traffic enforcement between June 26 and July 2. During this period, the directorate issued a total of 1,462 fines related to various violations. The comprehensive campaign included detailed investigations into numerous incidents.

Authorities investigated thirteen accidents resulting in material damage and nineteen accidents that caused injuries. Specific enforcement actions targeted common violations, resulting in thirty-six fines issued for failure to wear seatbelts, twenty-two fines for the use of mobile phones while driving, and fourteen fines for illegal vehicle modifications, such as the use of dark window tints. Furthermore, the commitment to safety was underscored by the suspension of driving licenses for seventeen individuals.
