Croatian investigative journalist invited to testify at Bosnian Prosecutor’s Office in “Sarajevo Safari” case

Croatian investigative journalist Domagoj Margetić has confirmed that he has received an official invitation from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide evidence concerning the “Sarajevo Safari” case. Margetić has been publicly advocating for an investigation into this matter for several years, issuing allegations through his published work. In a public statement, the journalist noted the timing of the invitation, stating that it followed shortly after prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended a meeting organized by the European Union agency, EUROJUST.

This meeting reportedly involved discussions regarding the progress of the “Sarajevo Safari” investigations, elevating the case’s profile to the European Union level. Margetić announced that he intends to comply with the summons from the prosecutor’s office. He confirmed that he will present all documentation and evidence gathered by him concerning the case to the investigators.

The Croatian journalist concluded his statement with a strong declaration, asserting that if any untoward incident were to happen to him before he could give his testimony, accountability should be assigned to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
