Erdogan: Israel must not be allowed to bleed the region again

At a joint press conference in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed regional tensions, issuing a strong caution regarding the Israeli government. Following bilateral discussions with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Erdogan stated that the Israeli administration, which he characterized as “war-dependent,” should not be permitted to destabilize the region further. Specifically, President Erdogan asserted that it is imperative not to allow the current Israeli government to potentially stain the region with conflict again.

During the conference, the two leaders confirmed that they exchanged views covering the scope of their bilateral relationship as well as broader regional and global issues. President Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s consistent diplomatic stance, declaring that Turkey has “particularly supported, and continues to support, every step that contributes to de-escalating tensions in our region and solving problems through diplomacy.”

The remarks underscore a significant diplomatic message from Erdogan regarding the necessity of peaceful conflict resolution. By voicing these concerns, Erdogan positioned Turkey as advocating for de-escalation across the Middle East.

The statements reinforce a pattern of Turkish foreign policy engagement that prioritizes diplomatic dialogue over military confrontation in volatile areas. The meeting served as a platform for both nations to reaffirm their cooperative ties while signaling a unified commitment to regional stability through multilateral engagement.
