The fugitive who rode an electric scooter in Skopje is deprived of his freedom; the vehicle is returned to the owner.

The Skopje Regional Police have reported the detention of an individual suspected of stealing an electric scooter within the city. Authorities confirmed that the stolen electric scooter has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner. According to details provided by MPB North Macedonia Featured News Telegrafi Macedonia, the incident occurred in the Central municipality of Skopje.

On July 4, 2026, police officers from SPB Skopje responded to a report regarding the theft of an electric scooter. The theft was reported to have taken place earlier that day, specifically between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, in the vicinity of a central object within the city. Following the report, officers apprehended A.Ç., a 34-year-old resident of Skopje, around 9:00 PM that evening.

The investigation confirmed the theft of the electric scooter, which belonged to B.R., a 38-year-old resident of the area. The police action resulted in the immediate recovery of the vehicle. Authorities stated that the owner of the scooter has been reunited with their property.

Furthermore, the police confirmed that following the completion of all necessary documentation related to the case, appropriate legal charges will be filed against the detained individual. The successful recovery of the electric scooter highlights ongoing efforts by the Skopje police department to maintain public safety and address property crime in the region.
