The Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) has scheduled a controlled explosive blast for Monday, April 6, 2026, as part of the ongoing construction efforts for the Saranda Bypass. According to ARRSH, the detonation is necessary to facilitate the opening of a new section of the bypass road. The blast is slated to take place near the village of Shën Vasil, in close proximity to the Volloder quarries.
The planned time window for the operation is between 09:00 and 10:00. ARRSH confirmed that the entire process is being coordinated with the State Police structures. These authorities will implement necessary measures to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety throughout the duration of the work.
The Albanian Road Authority has appealed to the public, particularly vehicle drivers, to exercise understanding and comply with all instructions issued by the relevant authorities until the completion of the construction work. The measure is integral to advancing the development of the Saranda Bypass infrastructure.
