The MPB Macedonia has reported the detention of two individuals, S.A. (34) and I.H. (39), both residents of Skopje.
The arrests occurred on July 5, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Center area of Skopje, following reasonable suspicion that the men were responsible for the criminal act of “causing general danger.”
The incident stems from an event that took place earlier the same day, around 4:00 PM. According to the MPB statement, the individuals started a fire within an abandoned structure located on “Macedonia” Boulevard in Skopje. This blaze resulted in documented damage, including injuries to one firefighter and damage to two fire vehicles.
Authorities confirmed that measures are currently underway to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire. The MPB stated that following the completion of this comprehensive clarification process, a formal report detailing the findings will be prepared and issued. The investigation focuses on determining the full scope of the incident and the accountability for the damage caused in the area.
