Two suspects arrested for cultivating narcotic plants in Podujevë

The Kosovo Police reported conducting operational and investigative actions in Podujevë following suspicions concerning the cultivation of Cannabis Sativa plants. These actions led to the arrest of two suspected individuals. According to the Kosovo Police statement, on July 6, 2026, relevant police units executed a tactical plan.

During this operation, two suspected Kosovar males were located in flagrante delicto while tending to a suspected plantation containing a total of 201 plants. The police confirmed that the competent prosecutor was notified regarding the incident. Following consultation with the prosecution, necessary samples were taken from the cultivated plants for further examination.

The remaining plants were subsequently destroyed at the scene to prevent misuse. The operation underscores the police’s ongoing efforts to address illicit cultivation activities within the region.
