FSSH-Macedonia: Kleksanat will be on the positive list starting from January 1st; pharmacies will be required to dispense it by prescription.

Kleksane, an anticoagulant medication, is now available for purchase with a valid prescription at pharmacies. Despite this official status, some citizens reported difficulties obtaining the drug, with reports indicating certain pharmacies claimed it remained unavailable even with a prescription, citing that they were awaiting further notification from the Health Fund. The Health Fund has clarified the drug’s coverage status.

It confirmed that as of October 1, 2026, enoxaparin (Kleksane) has been added to the Positive List of Medicines. Consequently, all pharmacies that have entered into an agreement with the Fund are obligated to ensure the availability and dispense the medication to insured individuals who require it. The Fund stated that under the terms of this agreement, the designated pharmacies must actively procure and dispense the medicine for the needs of the insured population.

This inclusion on the Positive List signifies a formal commitment to patient access. Patients are advised that the prescription requirement remains in place, but the system mandates that participating pharmacies must stock and dispense Kleksane for covered individuals starting from the specified date.
