Defects in the new water supply have left the village of Brezne in Dragash without water.

The Regional Water Supply Company (KRU) “Hidroregjioni Jugor” has issued a statement explaining the current lack of drinking water in the village of Brezne. The company attributes the shortage to ongoing defects identified within the conveyor belt system of the new water supply infrastructure. According to the announcement, the maintenance responsibilities for this specific water supply system do not fall under the operational scope of KRU “Hidroregjioni Jugor.” Instead, the necessary interventions to rectify these defects are being managed by the designated responsible company.

The statement explicitly noted, “The lack of water in the village of Brezne is a consequence of continuous defects presented in the conveyor belt of the new water supply, the maintenance of which is not within the competence of KRU ‘Hidroregjioni Jugor’.”

The company further indicated that, based on the information available to it, the operator tasked with maintaining the new water supply is actively working to resolve the issues. This suggests that while KRU “Hidroregjioni Jugor” is aware of the problem, the resolution of the water supply deficit hinges on the efforts of another specialized contractor addressing the mechanical defects. Residents awaiting the return of reliable water service are thus being informed about the external management of the necessary repairs.
