According to reports, the incident occurred today at the Qafë Thanë border crossing, where the officials stated they utilized diplomatic passports for their passage.
They claimed that upon arrival, they were detained by border authorities for approximately one hour without receiving detailed explanations regarding the delay. Following the period of detention, a member of the border police informed the group that three of the officials were permitted to continue their journey, while the fourth accompanying person was denied passage. In response to this situation, the officials decided to turn back.
It was at this point, they stated, that they were formally notified that they had been issued an entry ban within Albania. The reported incident highlights a procedural dispute at the border crossing. The presence of multiple high-ranking figures, including several deputies, drew attention to the nature of the restriction.
