Former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has urged Kosovo’s governmental institutions to immediately prioritize efforts to place the country’s candidacy for NATO membership on the agenda of the upcoming Alliance summit, anticipated to take place in Albania. In a statement posted on Facebook, Haradinaj stressed that securing NATO membership must become a key strategic focus for the nation. He stated, “Kosovo must act immediately so that its candidacy for membership can be discussed at the next NATO summit in Albania.
Even though the time is short, this goal is achievable with serious work.”
Haradinaj also voiced criticism toward individuals or groups, suggesting that those who do not support this objective are either lacking foresight or failing to grasp their responsibilities to Kosovo. The call underscores a push for decisive national action to advance Kosovo’s integration into the North Atlantic alliance. According to Haradinaj, making the case for Kosovo’s inclusion at the next summit requires immediate and concerted effort from all relevant state bodies.
The emphasis remains on elevating the discussion of Kosovo’s potential membership to a central point of discussion at the upcoming NATO gathering.
