President Bajram Begaj visited the Preševo Valley this Tuesday, engaging with key institutional and political figures representing the Albanian community in both Preševo and Bujanovac. During the visit, Begaj emphasized messages of unity, cooperation, and the necessity of safeguarding the rights of the Albanian community. The presidential itinerary included meetings with several local leaders.
Begaj met with the Mayor of Preševo, Ardita Sinani; the Mayor of Bujanovac, Arbër Pajaziti; the head of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi; and the Albanian deputy in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi. The discussions held with these various stakeholders centered on several key areas. Foremost among these were the concerns raised by the Albanian population within the Valley.
Furthermore, the meetings aimed at bolstering the cooperation among the Albanian political elements in the region. A significant focus was also placed on developing projects designed to support the local youth. These discussions took place against the backdrop of the opening ceremony for the Albanian Book Fair 2026 in Preševo.
Through his address at the event, President Begaj reiterated his commitment to the community, solidifying dialogues aimed at fostering stability and mutual support within the Preševo Valley.
