Serious accident in Mirditë, 16-year-old takes car without a license – six people are injured

A traffic accident took place on Friday evening in the Fan area of Mirditë, resulting in injuries to six minors who are related to one another. Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle involved was being driven by a 16-year-old who reportedly operated the car without authorization. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, but it is understood that the individual lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with a lamppost.

According to reporting from Top Channel correspondent Brixhilda Deda, the impact caused injuries to all six young people. Specific injuries reported include a suspected broken leg sustained by one 12-year-old girl. Additionally, two other minors were treated for fractures affecting their arms and legs.

The remaining four minors sustained various degrees of injury. Upon the incident’s conclusion, the injured were immediately administered first aid at the scene. Subsequently, all affected individuals were transported to local hospitals for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the precise circumstances that led to the vehicle losing control. The focus remains on providing care to the young victims involved in the accident.
