Unsafe scaffolding and unprotected areas halt construction work on a site in Fushë Kosovë

The Central Labor Inspectorate (IQP) initiated an immediate intervention following the detection of significant safety hazards at a construction site located on Elez Berisha street in Fushë Kosovë, opposite the AAB facility. According to reports from the IQP, the inspection revealed multiple violations pertaining to occupational and public safety standards. The inspectors documented several critical deficiencies that presented direct risks to the well-being of both construction workers and the general public.

Specifically, the IQP noted the absence of required side protective barriers for the erected scaffolding structure. Furthermore, the site lacked proper anchoring mechanisms for the scaffolding, alongside other unsecured open areas that compromised overall safety protocols. Due to these identified irregularities, which constituted immediate danger zones, the Central Labor Inspectorate issued an order mandating an immediate cessation of all work activities at the construction site.

To ensure public safety while violations were addressed, official barriers were promptly installed around the perimeter. This action underscores the regulatory body’s commitment to enforcing stringent safety standards across all development projects in the area. The intervention highlights the critical necessity of adhering to established safety guidelines when utilizing temporary structures like scaffolding on active construction sites.
