Audi records a drop in sales, but new models offer hope

Audi reported its second-quarter shipment figures for 2026 in the United States, recording shipments of 38,030 vehicles. This volume represents a 3.0% decrease compared to the 39,241 vehicles shipped during the second quarter of 2025. Year-to-date through the second quarter of 2026, Audi has shipped a cumulative total of 67,916 new vehicles.

This represents a 17.0% decline when compared to the first half of 2025, which saw sales of 81,951 units. Despite the overall decline in sales reported for both the second quarter and the first half of the year, the company noted positive performance trends for several key models. Specifically, the A3, A5, and A6 all experienced increases during the second quarter.

The A3 saw a 9% increase, and the A5 also registered a 9% rise. Most notably, the A6 reported a substantial 32% increase in shipments. The positive performance of the A5 and A6 is attributed to their recent redesigns.

This suggests that the market is responding favorably to the updated models from Audi. The figures provide a detailed view of the company’s sales trajectory during the second quarter, contrasting the overall year-over-year decrease with specific product line successes.
