The A4 unit of the “Kosova A” Thermal Power Plant resumes production after annual maintenance

The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has confirmed that Unit A4 at the “Kosova A” Thermal Power Plant has recommenced operations after successfully completing its scheduled annual maintenance. According to the KEK announcement, the unit’s startup sequence commenced in the early morning hours, around 1:00 AM. Following the execution of required technical procedures and comprehensive checks, the unit successfully synchronized with the electrical grid by approximately 5:15 AM.

KEK stated that the return of Unit A4 to service significantly enhances the local capacity for electricity generation. Furthermore, this operational status improves the corporation’s overall technical readiness as it prepares for the anticipated demands of the winter season. The announcement also acknowledged the contributions of the management, technical teams, engineers, and all personnel associated with the “Kosova A” Thermal Power Plant.
