A state vehicle from Montenegro was arrested for speeding at 205 km/h on the Gjergjë highway.

On July 13, 2026, local authorities conducted a traffic control operation on the A1 highway near the village of Miletkovë in Gjevgjeli. According to reports from MPB Macedonia, police officers from the Strumica and Gjevgjeli stations were involved in the enforcement action. During the routine radar check, officers detected a vehicle traveling in violation of posted speed limits.

The individual involved was identified as D.B., a 36-year-old citizen of Malta. Authorities reported that D.B. was operating a BMW bearing Maltese license plates.

The police determined that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 205 km/h, significantly exceeding the permitted speed limit of 120 km/h for that section of the highway. As a direct result of the violation, the individual was arrested at the scene. Following the incident, a public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gjevgjeli was officially notified of the events.

Relevant charges have since been filed against D.B. The action underscores the ongoing enforcement efforts by local law enforcement agencies to maintain safety standards and adherence to traffic regulations across Macedonian roadways. The report confirms that the legal process has been initiated to address the severe speeding infraction.
