Prizren Regional Police publishes six-month balance: 385 operations and 50 weapons seized

The Regional Police Directorate in Prizren convened a meeting to present its semi-annual work report, covering the operational period from January through June 2026. The session was structured to review achievements, address operational challenges, and define strategic objectives for the first half of the year. The presentation was led by the Regional Police Director in Prizren, Colonel Faton Alija.

Present were Deputy Regional Director, Lieutenant Colonel Lulzim Shala, alongside the directors representing various police stations and units operating throughout the region. During the report, Colonel Alija detailed the core operational focus areas for the coming months. He stressed that the primary mandate of the regional police force remains ensuring comprehensive public safety across the jurisdiction.

A significant emphasis was placed on strengthening collaborative relationships with the citizenry, which forms a key pillar of modern law enforcement. Furthermore, the director outlined the commitment to implementing the comprehensive Integrated Policing Strategy, titled Intelligence and Community Policing 2026–2030. Key operational goals include elevating traffic safety standards and intensifying efforts in crime prevention and investigation.

A specific focus area highlighted by the leadership was the thorough investigation and mitigation of incidents involving violence. This structured review underscores the ongoing commitment of the regional police leadership to maintaining security and order within Prizren.
