Following the statement by the Serbian minister, Kamberi reacts: Scandalous, unacceptable – she will initiate a request for her removal

Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi, issued a strong reaction following a public statement made by the Minister of Local Self-Government, Snezhana Paunović. In a post on Facebook, Kamberi asserted that the comments made by government ministers indicated that Serbia, under the influence of Slobodan Milošević, has not changed. Kamberi specifically addressed Paunović’s remarks, particularly her statement suggesting she would “ethnically cleanse Kosovo” if she were in Milošević’s position.

He characterized this statement as scandalous, unacceptable, and necessitating an immediate institutional response. According to Kamberi, the comment—”If I were in Milošević’s place, I would ethnically cleanse Kosovo”—was grounds for demanding the immediate dismissal of Snezhana Paunović. Following this, the Free Citizens Movement in Serbia formally demanded Paunović’s removal.

In light of these developments, Kamberi stated that he had officially requested a reaction from all relevant embassies. His actions were directly prompted by the controversial nature of the minister’s remarks. The deputy’s commentary serves as a clear political challenge, using the minister’s statement as the catalyst for his public critique and subsequent diplomatic outreach.
